The equipment makes the fiction physical without making setup complicated. The blaster sends the shot, the eight-pod vest confirms the hit, and the base station links the field to the operation.

Their descendants became the Vanrykians: warriors who mastered impossible technology without abandoning honor, oaths, clans, or the memory of those who came before.
